The Mazda CX-9 recently took home the Hispanic Motor Press “Best in Segment” award for 2017. This is the top honor in the SUV category, proving just how impressive the new CX-9 really is. This is the seventh-annual awards ceremony, and it is based on overall value with Hispanic families in mind. A number of prominent Hispanic journalists sat on the judging panel, each of which found the CX-9 to be the best overall.
According to Mazda, the CX-9 received the HMP Best in Segment award for its responsive powertrain, its roomy three-row interior, and the signature KODO design. It’s also affordable, with a number of trim levels that let you upgrade to premium materials as you see fit. Overall, the awards also recognized vehicles that were eco-friendly, affordable, and capable of reducing greenhouse emissions as well.
“Our educational programs and content helps the Hispanic Consumer to understand the long-term benefits of clean transportation,” reads the Hispanic Motor Press website. “We provide objective and practical information to the Hispanic Community so that they can select which clean vehicle would fit best for their needs. We assist Hispanic owned companies reviewing and sourcing State and Federal grants to replace polluting.”
Other awards were presented for the best PR agency, the fleet service award, commercial vehicle of the year, motorcycle of the year, and more. There is also a film festival associated with the event to help choose the best short films and commercials that incorporate cars and emphasize green technologies and mindsets.
