Teenagers are the age group that people tend to worry about the most when talking about drivers. That’s why many parents want the safest car possible for their child when they start driving. According to a recent survey, those parents should consider getting their teen drivers into a Mazda. Here’s why.
According to a recent survey taken by Consumer Reports, which took into account things like price, safety features, and track record, Mazda was found to be one of the safest brands of car that a teen driver can have.
Specifically, the survey found that the Mazda CX-3 is among the best cars that a teenager can drive. Dubbed ‘fun, but not fast’, the Mazda CX-3 is the perfect car for a teen.
Although not a luxury vehicle, this mini SUV is most certainly one of the best looking vehicles in its class. Its sleek, modern look is perfect for a teenager who cares about that type of thing. In addition, it also has key safety features like blind spot monitoring, cruise control, emergency braking systems, and forward collision warnings.
If you would like to learn more about what makes Mazda vehicles so great for teen drivers, feel free to come down to Bakersfield Mazda to see what all we have to offer.
The Mazda6 is one of three models that earned the prestigious IIHS Top Safety Pick+ designation
Every year, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) rates every single new vehicle for its overall safety and is widely considered one of the strictest and most well-regarded safety rating systems in the nation. The top honor is the IIHS Top Safety Pick+, and it just so happens that, for 2016, not one, not two, but three Mazda models have earned this renowned award.
The Mazda CX-5, the Mazda3 and the Mazda6 have each received the IIHS Top Safety Pick+. You might see some vehicles with the rating “Top Safety Pick,” which is still a great achievement, but it’s missing that special little plus-sign at the end. That symbol indicates that these models haven’t just met the IIHS’s standards for ultimate safety, but have gone above and beyond.
Mazda’s i-ACTIVESENSE Collision-Prevention system is just one of the many reasons for the automaker’s big wins. This system includes Mazda Radar Cruise Control, Smart City Brake Support for low speeds, and Smart Brake Support for high speeds.
Congratulations to Mazda for its three huge victories! And congrats to you if you happen to drive any one of these awesome vehicles.
The new Mazda lineup looks fantastic – but don’t just take our word for it here at Bakersfield Mazda. Kelley Blue Book (KBB) recently awarded the automaker the Brand Image Award for “Best Car Styling.” Mazda’s Soul of Motion design has been officially recognized for is unique style and innovative aesthetics.
The reasoning behind giving Mazda the KBB Best Car Styling Award is especially clear with the 2016 Mazda CX-5.
So what exactly is Soul of Motion design? This concept is inspired by the movement of animals and embodies power, dexterity, and vitality, according to Mazda. New models are made to be sleek, efficient, and chocked full of power.
“Mazda has spent many years exploring the concept of ‘motion,’ offering customers designs that are exciting both to view and to drive,” said Ikuo Maeda, the head of Mazda’s Design Division. Mazda has pursued the concept of more athletic and sporty motion, and has adopted dynamic designs for all Mazda models.”
The KBB Best Car Styling award reflects Mazda’s commitment to driver enjoyment and efficiency. Every new model is designed with precision and power in mind, not to mention beautiful contours.
Soaring ahead of the competition, three new Mazda’s were given the Edmunds.com 2015 Most Popular award. With stylish new design and state-of-the-art technology in every model, it’s no wonder Mazda dominated the judging.

According to Mazda, the Mazda3 won the Compact Car category, the CX-5 won the Compact Crossover SUV category, and the CX-9 won the Large Crossover SUV segment. The 2015 Most Popular award was based on the vehicles which received the most car-shopper consideration from January 1, 2014 through October 31, 2014.
So why were these three Mazdas so popular? Both the 2015 Mazda CX-5 and the 2015 Mazda3 are equipped with Skyactiv Technology which allows these two models to achieve among the best fuel economy and unique driving dynamics compared to other cars. The Mazda 3 is on a roll! For two years now, the compact car has won the ALG Residual Value Award. Though it’s no mystery to us here at Bakersfield Mazda, Torque News breaks down the reasons why.
Mazda did not reinvent the wheel to win a second year in a row, though it may have reinvented the deal. ALG’s President Larry Dominique explained Mazda’s award-winning strategy: “Mazda kept the 2015 pricing flat on the Mazda3, allowing it to remain one of the best values in the Compact segment.”
2015 Mazda3, priced affordably at Bakersfield Mazda!
It’s not just 2015 Mazda 3 pricing that did it; it’s the undeniable quality of the Mazda 3 that also factors in. Torque News put it succinctly when it said, “The Mazda3 blends value, safety, and sportiness.”
ALG is the industry benchmark for evaluating the value of automobiles. For the Residual Value Award, ALG looks at a variety of factors such as “vehicle quality, production volume, and overall price and value.” Ultimately, the firm looks at how the value of vehicles will stand the test of time.

Lauren of Glen Ellyn, Illinois, is happily cruising in her new 2013 Mazda3. With her purchase a few weeks ago, she became the proud owner of both her first new car and Mazda’s 10 millionth vehicle sold in the U.S. It was a momentous day neither she nor we will forget.
Mazda’s 2014 Mazda6 received an “Advanced” safety score, the highest rating in new tests administered by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. Mazda’s new i-ActivSense driver-assistance technology secured Mazda’s top 20 finish among a test class of 74 vehicles.

Down-to-earth Game of Thrones writer, George R. R. Martin, prefers his Mazda RX-7.
As we reflect during this Thanksgiving month, we can’t help but be grateful for a successful year. With two months left, we can’t wait to see what other accomplishments we’ll be able to add to the list before 2014.
