Redwood National and State Parks

This is a must-see destination for any California road-tripper. Located in the northern part of the state, you can drive along Newton B. Drury Parkway to witness incredible wildlife and look up at some of the tallest trees on the planet.

Big Sur and Pfeiffer State Beach

Big Sur, about 25 miles south of Monterey, has inspired many influential artists, such as Jack Kerouac. The area includes one of the world’s most unique beaches: Pfeiffer State Beach. For anyone driving in the southern part of the state, the purple sand and azure waters of this stunning destination shouldn’t be missed.

Bodega Bay

No California road trip would be complete without passing through a picturesque coastal town, and Bodega Bay can’t be beat. After driving along the coast and taking in some of the most magnificent ocean views the state has to offer, Bodega Bay’s restful feel makes it a perfect destination for those looking to get away.

Mendocino

Finally, for those looking for a destination that offers incredible art, dining, and architecture, Mendocino is the perfect stopping point. Spend a day or two taking in the charming town’s stunning scenery and pop into some of its renown art galleries. And if you need a recharge, book a stay at one of the towns many B&Bs.

California offers so much that deciding where to go can be daunting, but all of these destinations are sure to create memories that will stay with you for a lifetime.

2018 Mazda3: More Comes Standard in Updated Models

Mazda3The Mazda3 sedan and hatchback—already popular amongst compact car fans—add more standard features than ever before across the full range for the 2018 model year. Better yet, they do it without raising the price of the Grand Touring models, and barely nudging the Sport and Touring lines.

New for all 2018 Mazda3 models is the standard low-speed front collision system with automated emergency braking. This new safety feature alone indicates a significant upgrade to all Mazda3 models. This is, of course, on top of already-standard features such as the 7-inch infotainment screen, push-button start, and Bluetooth® technology.

Perhaps the most exciting update to the new 2018 Mazda3 is that all Touring models now come standard with the 184 horsepower 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, which previously was an optional upgrade for an additional cost. Add this to features such as standard blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and a new dark silver alloy wheel color, and the result is a safety and performance at a value that’s hard to beat.

2018 Mazda3 Grand Touring sedans and hatchbacks come with upgraded standard features without any price increase from the previous year’s models. In addition to everything listed as standard or optional for other trim levels, the 2018 Grand Touring sedan and hatchback offer all-new self-leveling LED headlights, color head-up display, and leather seats.

There are a lot of options to choose from in the compact car category, but the updated 2018 Mazda3 sedan and hatchback models rise above the rest by offering impressive upgrades from the previous year without the kind of price increase you’d expect. Don’t just take our word for it though, come by Bakersfield Mazda to test drive one today.
