2017 Mazda MX-5 Miata Rolls into Dealerships

2017 Mazda MX-5 Miata

The 2016 Mazda MX-5 Miata was a hit with consumers of all ages and backgrounds. Now, with the 2017 model rolling into showrooms, the legendary, award-winning roadster is ready to make waves once more. There’s no reason to make changes to perfection which is why the 2017 Mazda MX-5 Miata arrives mostly unchanged for the model year.

The 2016 model took home both the World Car of the Year and World Car Design of the Year awards, the only vehicle to ever do so. The base MSRP holds steady at just under $25,000, a bargain for this incredible roadster.

There isn’t much to say when it comes to changes. Drivers can choose from the Sport, Grand Touring, and Club trims. Mazda aimed to offer three different vehicles to appeal to different types of drivers.

The MX-5 Miata Sport shows off its original formula that first debuted in 1990. The Club trim boasts red stitching and a performance-driven exterior design, suspension, and brakes. The Grand Touring trim is the definition of luxury with three-stage heated seats, automatic climate control, and more.

The only major change for the 2017 model year comes in the form of Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert. Both safety technologies come standard on the Club trim.

We here at Bakersfield Mazda are ecstatic that the new MX-5 Miata roadster will be here soon!

Preventative Car Maintenance: The Basics

Preventative Car Maintenance

Taking care of your car starts with preventing problems from growing and occurring in the first place. Fortunately, preventative car maintenance is fairly simple and straightforward. It can also save you a bundle which means there’s hundreds to thousands of reasons to take the proper precautions. Here are a few tips about preventative car maintenance fromus here at Bakersfield Mazda to help get you started.

  • Owner’s Manual – There’s no better guide to your vehicle than the manufacturer-provided owner’s manual! That intimidating booklet contains all the vital information about your car, including a service schedule that you should mark for future reference. Reading up on what service the manufacturer recommends and when it needs to be done is the best way to prevent future problems.
  • Inspection – Performing a full inspection on a monthly basis can help you spot any growing problems and react accordingly. Look at the tires and check the air pressure. Listen for any odd sounds. Make sure the lights work. It never hurts to walk around the car with your eyes peeled for scratches, dings, and dents!
  • Windshield Wipers – Keeping a clear windshield is incredibly important for safety reasons. That’s why you should switch out your windshield wipers every six months or so. A new set is pretty cheap and the owner’s manual will give you a guide on how to install them.
