2016 Mazda Miata’s Forza Horizon 2 Debut

Mazda struck a deal with Microsoft not too long ago and it isn’t for the tech inside the car. Forza Horizon 2, exclusive to Xbox One, will give players and car enthusiasts alike a look at the newest MX-5 model. But the Mazda Miata’s Forza Horizon 2 debut isn’t without its catches.

Mazda Miata’s Forza Horizon 2

Mazda Miata’s Forza Horizon 2 debut will give car enthusiasts / XBox owners an exclusive look.

The two companies are giving players the opportunity to win the fourth generation roadster in the Time Trial Rivals Contest. Head to the Games, Music, Movies, or Apps channels on the console then click on the Mazda MX-5 advertisement.

From there you’ll enter a hub to register for the contest. Play in the Rival Mode and get behind the wheel of the MX-5 on the Sisteron Perimeter Sprint Track. If you’re one of the top two, Mazda will fly you out to L.A. to go tire-to-tire.

Winner drives home in a life-size 2016 Mazda Miata roadster.

The 2016 Mazda Miata is part of a FREE Mazda MX-5 downloadable content, available March 17th. Also included in the DLC pack is a 2010 Mazdaspeed MX-5 concept, 2005 Mazdaspeed MX-5, and a 1990 MX-5. Which are all FREE for download in-game. The contest lasts from March 17th to April 30th.

New Mazda Miata Model Rolls Onto the Assembly Line

Here’s a quick question for all you automobile enthusiasts out there: which car holds the Guinness World Record as the best-selling two-seater sports car? If your answer was the Mazda MX-5 Miata—well, you’re right, but then again you might have just read the blog title and put two and two together. Either way, the Miata will soon build its lead on that record—as a new Mazda Miata model recently rolled onto the assembly line.

New Mazda Miata

The 2016 Mazda Miata is being built at the Ujina Plant No. 1 in Hiroshima, and it will go on sale first in Japan this June. Hopefully, an American debut won’t be too far behind that global debut. The 2016 model embodies the tagline “innovate in order to preserve.” To that end, they’ve added safety features, made the car more efficient, and—of course—added the brand’s signature SKYACTIV technology and KODO-Soul of Motion design ethic.

The MX-5 is a worldwide sports legend, and it has already sold over 950,000 units. This fourth generation model looks to boost that number even higher. Come see us at Bakersfield Mazda to learn more about the MX-5—including just how fun it is to drive.
